51: A Sensory Garden DONE!

Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, Chaska, MN. September, 2013. We took Grandpa Steve and Grandma Mary to the arboretum that is maintained by the University of Minnesota. It has all kinds of different gardens and is so huge we couldn't see it all in one afternoon. But we did get to taste and rate test apples! And we did walk through their sensory garden...wasn't even sure what a sensory garden was, but it turns out that it's a garden.

They had a beautiful japanese garden, a rose garden, a hedge garden, a kitchen herb garden, a cloistered garden, a sculpture garden, what else? Oh, a cool natural playground that we didn't take any pictures of.

The kids liked climbing up to the viewing platform to look down on the gardens.  If you look closely, that's Rowan on Cook's shoulders.
