28: Your Elected Official's Office DONE!

ND Governor's Office. May 5, 2011. Today we were at the capitol and stopped in at the governor's office. He wasn't there. The secretaries were nice, though. The great hall outside of the office is actually way cooler than the office itself. The huge light fixtures are meant to represent wheat. The old capitol building burned down in the 1930's, so instead of the traditional, domed White House-looking capitol, ours is more modern, and actually has a lot of really beautiful art deco elements.

When we sheepishly asked if we could take a picture of their workplace, the secretaries said that people usually take pictures of the flags. So we took a picture of the flags.
