Duluth Lakewalk, Duluth, MN. August 2012. This boardwalk follows the downtown harborfront area of Duluth, which is on Lake Superior. Lake Superior may only be a lake, but it is the largest freshwater lake (by surface area) in the world, and when you look at it, it really feels like an ocean. Of course, it doesn't have that salty ocean smell, but it is crystal clear and very cold.
We didn't make it far on the boardwalk before Cook ended up in the water. He ain't afraid of no stinking hypothermia...
