Apple Jack Orchards, Delano, MN. September 2013. We had some absolutely perfect weather while Grandpa Steve and Grandma Mary were visiting, so we got to do some fall outside trips, including a trip to an apple orchard we hadn't ever been to before. And lucky for Cook's blog, they had a pigpen!
Pigs! In a pen!
Ama was feverish and not feeling well at all that day, so we didn't stay too long at the orchard, but we did explore the river that ran through the farm (which was SO BEAUTIFUL!), had lots of apple-based snacks, and played on hay bales with slides on them.
We also went on a "hayride" without hay that took us on a tour through the orchards. They grow a ton of different kinds of apples and some berries. It was too bad that little Ama bear was sick.
